Zen Gardens Vegetarian Resteraunt... London, Ontario

I have to say that this was one the BEST meals I have ever had at a restaurant.
This was beautifully decorated totally quaint little place. It was a very relaxing environment.
The food was delivered promptly and the service was wonderful and Vegan dishes were clearly marked as some fake meats contain traces off eggs or dairy. Antoher thing I absolutely love about this place is that they have a strict handmade, no artificial ingredient and preservative policy!

First up as an appetizer we ordered their specialty house soup: Kings Vegetable soup, which had burdock root, carrots, broccoli with tofu cubes and these delicious chewy, some type of chewy asian mushroom is a savory broth "enoki mushroom balls"


In the background is a "Chicken drumsticks" which were deliciously crispy, chewy, realistic and super flavorful. There was a homemade plum sauce.


This was Asian BBQ steamed bun, yummy stringy seasoned fake meat, perfectly seasoned.


Sweet and Sour "Chicken" with veggies, this sauce was amazing although a bit sweet tasted kind of like a doughnut somehow. Purple sticky rice in the background.


Last but not least, as this was my favorite dish, King Pao "Chicken". This sauce was super spicy and tasted amazing I can't even describe what it tasted like as I've never had anything like it.



I can't wait to go back to this place, and am very happy I do not live near it or else I would stop cooking and just live there.

Eat World Challange, Vegan Thai, Chinese, Portuguese, Pakistani food



So for the E.A.T. world challenge I have been trying to eat from many parts of the world. I normally do( I find that eating ethnic food is easier on the wallet) then more traditional North American fare and tends to be tastier and better for you as well.
What is your favorite ethic food to eat?


Thailand with my Thai inspired meals a pineapple sesame soy tofu bowl


Thai Red coconut curry.

Essentially the same as the dish above but with Vegan shrimp (which I am totally in love with!)



Vegan Tom Yum soup (from a mix)



Vegan dumplings made with tofu, mushrooms and other "Thai Style Veggies"



Pakistan
Brown lentil Daal garnished with ketchup(lol) and plain unsweetened vegan yogurt, with a homemade paratha (Pakistani flat bread)

China:
Very Authentic tasting sweet and sour tofu, with pineapple, with purple sticky rice and stir-fried veggies.


Portugal
Portuguese kale soup with potatoes, with roasted garlic and homemade vegan chorizo
