I've been reading/lurking on blogs for a long time now, for about 3 years now. I tried blogging back last year, but had some issues that prevented me from devoting enough time to blogging. I really love the blogging world, and want to devote time to it now.
I have been Vegan for about 1 year (I don't make a big deal out of a little dairy or eggs once in awhile, because I hate wasting food, and making life really difficult for their people)I've been a Vegetarian for 12 years, I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with my Vegan Boyfriend:
And My two Veggie cats:
Shiloh (which is my baby, I bottle-fed her from 3 weeks old)

Delilah (she was a stray, and we took her in when she was an inch from her life)

This my boyfriend(John) and I, at a friends wedding in last summer.
I am a part-time Nanny, and a want-to be paid freelance writer/food reviewer.
I am writing a cookbook, and hope to write a few e-books along the way. I have two cooking styles, modern pretty food, but my main theme is making old terrible for you favorites better for you and cruelty free.
The theme of my blog is "what your momma didn't know" about all the things that are bad for us, and all the things that make animals suffer. I want to help people see that good for you, non-cruelty-free food is good for you and tastes great!
Do you have any questions for me? Because I love answering questions!
This was my supper tonight, tofu scramble with potatoes, onions and garlic (may seem like an odd combo) but its very delicious. I also use Indian black salt to make it taste a little more "eggy".
A side salad with homemade: Black olive and sun-dried tomato dressing.
With homemade Multi-grain bread, with Earth Balance on the side.
I love Tofu scramble its so versatile and you can make it with anything in it, its my quick no-brainier go to meal.
I want to ask a new question every post, its a great way to get know everybody!
My question is: Whats your quick, go-to no-brainer meal?

Hi Sophia.
Your blog looks great. I look forward to reading it. My quick go to meal is mac and cheeze with a side of V-con's Edamame Corn Salad. It is quick and works for everyone, even the 2 year old. Hope you have a wonderful day.

I'm happy to read & comment :) Thanks for psoting on mine so I'd find you! I agree with you on all counts, though I do also eat fish. My mom is vegan, and I have learned a LOT from her... she's only been vegan for a little over 2 years, was vegetarian for about a year before that... so over the course of the last few years she's been sort of learning what "she" didn't know about food! Lucky me, she shares :) I've come a LONG way in my food thinking, and earth/animal/health thinking since she started her journey and I personally stopped eating meat in September of 2008 (aside from occasional fish, I just love sushi!). I have a 10 month old son who I'm raising veg too.
Love the tofu scramble pic, and no, that's not a weird combo at all. I LOVE me my tofu scramble :) Hrm, a go-to meal would honestly probably be a salad, with some cooked brown rice and beans added and Bragg's & nutritional yeast sprinkled on top. I look forward to the info you post - thanks again for the invite!
Of course you may add me :)
Love the new blog!
Hi Sophia! Thanks for the comment on my blog, I would love to be added to your blogroll!
My favorite quick go-to meal is baked beans on toast. My husband is from England, so it's a meal he introduced me to - I love it on toasted homemade bread sprinkled with nooch (in fact, I ate that just yesterday after a tiring bike ride!).
I look forward to reading more from you :)
Oh you don't even have to ask...go ahead and add me =)
My favorite quick meal? There are many! Hummus Sandwiches, stir-fries, salads...Mmm now I'm hungry.
Your new blog looks great!
Cute blog! Love the layout! I look forward to following it. I lurked for quite awhile too before I realized how easy blogging was. I'd always imagined that I'd never be able to figure out the technology.
Hi! I got your link from my daughter, Brandie's, Blog. Tofu scramble is a main stay in our home!! We love every kind of veggie mixed in with it. As far a quick go to meal. Hummus on toast with a salad. Delish!
